Summer 2012 (part 2)

Being busy working some stupid shifts, meant I missed out on seeing the Olympic torch relay, the opening and the closing of the Olympics ceremony. However, my luck was in when a friend of mine invited me to watch the Paralympic torch relay. The fact that it was 4am still didn’t put me off. It was a long cold wait in the dark, and slightly annoying as we heard the torch was delayed by an hour and a half. The time quickly passed chatting to friends and family and before we knew it the Paralympic bus drove past with a party van behind blasting music. It was inspiring, fun, a once in a lifetime opportunity and well worth missing out on sleep for (something i don’t say very often).
